The Spanish municipality of Sa Pobla (Mallorca) declared itself as anti-bullfighting municipality. 34 municipalities have declared themselves against bullfighting on the Spanish Island till now.

The government of the autonomous community Castile and León has decided to prohibit the public death of the bull during Toro de la Vega in Tordesillas. This is a step in the right direction, but the decision leaves us with many unanswered questions about the actual occurrences in the event in the future.

The Mexican state of Michoacán prohibited the entrance of minors under 15 years to events with bulls, likes bullfights. Cockfights and dogfights were also forbidden. This is the result of an initiative to change the law in Michoacán concerning the rights of minors.
